Want to send a greeting in style? You'll first need to create either a 4x8 flat or a 5x7 folded card.
We have more than 200 complimentary templates for SmugMuggers to choose from for many different occasions, including some very simple photo-on-front folded cards that are blank in the middle.
This help page is for creating a card-ready image using one of SmugMug's templates. You can create your own card-ready image on your computer and add it to SmugMug, if you prefer. Here's help with that.
Click Create a Card.
When you're logged in, you'll find a Buy button on each gallery page. Click it and select Create a Card from the menu.
Click Types and choose between 5x7 Folded and 4x8 Flat cards.
Choose a category and have fun browsing the awesome choices.
Some cards are designed with multiple photos and text boxes in mind.
Not the perfect photo for the card?
If you change your mind about a photo, click the Photos tab and choose a different image from your SmugMug galleries.
You'll see a red slash through any image that is not large enough to make a card with the design you've chosen.
Finishing touches.
Add text if the card allows it. Double-check your text. Make sure it's typo-free.
Click on a photo and drag to move your photo side to side. Zoom in or out using the slider that appears.
Buy now or later.
Click the Create tab. You'll see three buttons:
Click Build It to save the card for later. It will be saved in an unlisted gallery called "Cards" under the category "My SmugMug Creations". 5x7 folded card-ready images will look a bit funny, with some text and photos upside down. That's how they should be, to print properly, so resist the urge to rotate them!
Click Buy It and your card will be saved and you'll be able to choose quantities (and finishes, if you're purchasing 4x8 flat cards.) Your selections will be added to your SmugMug shopping cart.
Click Back to Your Gallery if you'd like to cancel without saving. You can always start from scratch and make a new card later.
Seal the deal.
If you clicked Buy It, and you're ordering a 4x8 card, you'll be given a choice of three print finishes and the opportunity to order your card in boxes of 20, 50, or 100.
If you clicked Buy It, and you're ordering a 5x7 card, you'll be given the opportunity to order a single card, or boxes of 10 or 25 cards. All 5x7 folded cards are printed on heavy Matte stock with UV-sheen coating.
All cards come with envelopes.
Make your choices and click Add To Cart. Complete the checkout and enjoy mailing the stylin' cards to your nearest and dearest.
